The elegance, pure and simplicity of the mechanical pencil design is the best I've ever seen. The most stunning part is that no compromise is made on the enduring internal mechanism. I purchased quite a lot of mechanical pencils in recent years and, whether they are made in Japan and Germany, I can testify that they are not as beautiful as those made by Modern Fuel. Thank you, Modern Fuel. Keep up your excellent work and create more different and beautiful things for the world. I'll be your loyal customer.
beautiful pen, Love it
A very well-made mechanical pencil. Excellent form and function. I normally do not like a smooth finish, as they can get a little slippery with prolonged use. Not so with this mechanical pencil. The finish machining is such that it is easy to grip for protracted periods of time. A really exceptional mechanical pencil!
I’ve written the review of the stellar pencil but neglected to review the eraser. The eraser is very important to me because I’m a lithographer and actually use it! If it performs poorly it damages my work; however, it performs beautifully......I feel safe and use it on my prints which is high praise saying it doesn’t damage my delicate printing paper. So the pencil is the complete package from being balanced, interchangeable sizes, all metal parts AND a functional eraser! As I’ve stated before perfection!
I actually bought the bronze pencil with all 3 interchangeable sizes as well as erasers. Pencils are important to me because as a lithographer I number, title, and sign my prints in pencil. It matters to me how a pencil performs because it becomes part of my piece of art. It matters to me what variety it comes in because my pieces vary. And yes the eraser matters because they could damage my work. With those things said.....the Modern Fuel Pencil is pleasing to my artistic eye, beautifully well balanced in the hand with a nice weight behind it and will become patinaed in time making it uniquely mine. Finally I have a pencil that performs beautifully that will stay with me the rest of my printing days writing as small or large as I need without losing its familiarity in my hand.....alas a steadfast companion.....thrilled to have found it! Perfection!
